TREATMENT + recovery

The treatment duration is a quick 30 minutes, and the wonderful results typically last between 6 to 9 months. For most patients, the treatment involves two sessions initially and then one session every 6 months. The downtime is minimal, with only some temporary skin bumps lasting around 24-48 hours.

  • Prophilo is generally considered safe, but like any medical procedure, there is a small risk of bruising and infection. In some cases, a few patients may experience mild facial swelling, which usually subsides within two weeks.

  • Unlike fillers, Prophilo does not volumise the face, making it an excellent option to address ageing and skin laxity concerns. It is often recommended to undergo Prophilo before dermal filler treatments in order to improve the appearance of skin laxity. Prophilo stands apart from polynucleotides as it contains hyaluronic acid rather than DNA derivatives.

  • The needles used for Prophilo are very small, resulting in minimal discomfort. While there may be a stinging sensation during product administration, most patients tolerate the procedure well, which lasts approximately 5 minutes. Numbing cream may not provide significant relief since the stinging sensation arises from the product spreading under the skin.
