who is it for?

Lip fillers are suitable for most individuals, as we can tailor the treatment to your specific preferences. We can achieve results ranging from subtle hydration to more pronounced volume and shape enhancement, all done through different techniques and filler choices. However, if you have a history of anaphylaxis or allergies to wasp stings, lip fillers may not be suitable for you due to potential reactions to the filler dissolving enzyme.

TREATMENT + recovery

The appointment typically lasts around 30 minutes, and you can enjoy the results for 9-12 months. There may be some downtime of 2 weeks, with a small amount of swelling and bruising.

  • As with any medical treatment, there are potential side effects and risks. Swelling, bruising, and discomfort are expected, and the final result may not be apparent until the swelling has completely subsided, usually within 2-3 weeks. Achieving perfect symmetry may be challenging if your lips are uneven to start with. It's essential to follow aftercare instructions to minimise migration risk and maintain long-lasting results. For individuals with a history of cold sores, any needles to the face can trigger a breakout, so please inform us if you've experienced cold sores in the past year.

    Before the treatment, avoid using certain skincare products and medications that could lead to increased pain and bruising. After the treatment, practice gentle care and avoid strenuous exercise or any heat treatments near the treated area. Arnica tablets can help with bruising and swelling, and it's crucial to sleep with your head elevated to reduce swelling.

  • Lip filler treatment can cause some patients discomfort, this is variable between individuals and we always use numbing cream to make our patients comfortable.
